🎯 The Game

Two-man teams compete in 18 holes of net match play.

• 1 point for each hole won
• 0.5 points for each tied hole
• 2 bonus points to the match winner
• All play is from the blue tees unless the entire group agrees otherwise
• Handicaps and strokes are determined the day of the match using the reflected GHIN handicap

📱 Reporting Results

Results of each match should be submitted on the Summer Long Hazel site using the Submit Score function as soon as possible.

📅 Season Rules

• If a player gets hurt or becomes disabled, the partner continues the season alone. No replacements.
• The last place team in each flight is assessed an additional $250 per player, paid to the winners of the semifinal playoff match
• Any team that has not completed 3 matches by July 4th will be deducted 5 points
• Any team that has not completed all 5 matches by September 15th receives 10 points for each unplayed match

🏆 Tie Breakers & Playoffs

• If teams are tied for 1st, 2nd, or last place in a flight, tie breakers are applied in this order:
• 1. Head-to-head winner
• 2. Number of matches won
• 3. Highest point total won in a single match
• 4. Coin flip
• The top three flight winners by total points advance to the playoffs
• The two flight winners with the lowest point totals play a play-in game for the final playoff spot
• If more than two flight winners are tied for the play-in game, tie breakers are:
• 1. Total number of matches won
• 2. Highest point total won in any match
• 3. Teams drawn from a hat

💵 Payouts

• Each flight pays the same:
• Flight winner: 50% ($3,000)
• 2nd place: 30% ($1,800)
• The remaining 20% goes into the overall 2026 champions pot
• Semi-final winner: $1,500 total ($750 per man)
• Overall winners: 20% of all flights = $6,200 ($3,100 per man)
